Evangelist Nora Massey was born and raised in the city of Petersburg Virginia to the late James Dillard and Joyce Henderson.
Ms. Massey was the fourth child out of seven. She has three grown children of her own Datria, Terrol and Tiara, four grandchildren. She is a full time mother and works a full time position as a Financial Counselor.
Ms. Massey relocated to the state of New York in 1990 where she accepted her calling under the leadership of the late Pastor John H. Boyd in Jamaica Queens New York. She lived there for numerous years before relocating to Buffalo New York where she currently resides.
Minister Nora always wanted to further her education at age 35 she attended college at Bryant and Stratton Business Institute and finished her Associates degree in Business Management.
Minister Nora answered her call from God she was ordained as a Minister in 1997 under the leadership of the late Pastor James Tucker.
She established a Women’s ministry in 2002 called Women In Travail Ministries, which ministers to women of all walks of life, women transitioning from drugs and incarceration returning back into the community.
God has anointed her to pray and minister for people all over the world.
Ms. Massey was invited and favored by God to be a guest on TCT Christian world-wide television show numerous times in Saginaw Michigan.
With her dedication and persistence she has received a Mother of the Year award in 2014, with a Proclamation from New York State Legislature acknowledging her hard work and compassion for the people.
Ms. Massey has dedicated herself to numerous community organizations fighting for justice and helping people in need. She is a liaison for the State of New York for a worldwide organization called National Association for Equal Justice in America located in Compton Calif.
Minister Massey has ministered and attended and held numerous justice conferences with her own plight with her son Terrol in which he was 16years of age wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit.
She has been fighting for justice for 16 long years for her son.
She was successful in getting the “Raise the Age law” changed forced North Carolina to change there’s as well. The law to stop charging 16 and 17 year old as adults in the criminal justice system.
The scripture that motivates me to continue to this fight and not worry about the cares of life is: Philippians 4:13- I can do all things thru Christ, because he gives me strengthens.
